The hybrid solar system does not need a connection to the grid, which is made possible by the inverter integrated in the electricity storage. This system ensures complete independence from the grid during the operation of the solar power plant and storage tank.
The grid only serves as a backup system to be used in case consumption exceeds the capacity of the hybrid system. The hybrid solar system enables the delivery of excess electricity according to the net metering system or the sale of it, just like a classic solar power plant. The hybrid system directly uses the electricity produced by the solar power plant via the inverter to power the consumers in your home. If the energy production is greater than the current consumption, the surplus is stored in the storage tank. Stored energy is used when the energy produced by the solar power plant is no longer sufficient for current consumption. If the storage tank is full and production still exceeds consumption, the excess energy is diverted to the grid. In cases where the distribution operator does not allow this type of practice, the system automatically lowers the production at the solar power plant.
